We are currently working with Bloc Projects in Sheffield, as part of their wider contemporary art programme*.
Coinciding with the exhibitions in the gallery, Bloc based artists are delivering numerous contemporary art workshops in a variety of media, contexts and themes to school and home-educated children throughout 2010. The Children's programme will include two public exhibitions.
Also in 2010, in partnership with Humber Learning Consortium and Bloc Projects, Enable will work with a group of mixed heritage unemployed learners to help them create an exhibition of artwork based on their own heritage and identities. The project, which will be delivered by a team of specialist artist-educators, aims to enhance learners’ creativity and confidence, resulting in a much stronger position for employability.
We are also in discussion with Artforms, Leeds for the launch of another exciting major project in Sheffield.
We and our partners are united in the belief that the professional artist community and our galleries play a vital role in education at all levels. Our experiential-learning programme, delivered within the contemporary art platform, places us in a unique position in the community and we are pleased to be forging and maintaining partnerships with numerous groups and schools.
